Hibbity Dibbity – Music City Radio Interview

Our latest interview features a cosmically charged group of musicians who’s infectious sound and style are equal parts inviting and refreshing. Fresh off of a tour throughout the heart of the United States, Tom Relling and Parker Simon of Hibbity Dibbity sat down with Music City Radio to enlighten us on an array of topics. From life on the road, to their favorite venues in San Francisco, to insights on the universe at large; this interview has it all.

When listening to any given track of the band’s discography, a central concept becomes very evident: ‘Americana.’ Hibbity Dibbity possesses a grass roots sound that is reminiscent of a blend between western folk culture and psychedelic jam bands. Drawing from the catalogs of classic blues, bluegrass, folk, rock and funk, their sound is a fusion of influences that leap from your speakers and straight to your dancing feet. Their palette of expression is an instant reminder of the amazing cultural blend that is modern music.

“I’m just so stoked that we went for it and went out there to these places, in the midst of like everything thats happening. I mean like, its pretty heavy times in the world. The fact that were getting out there and actually doing something that people can get stoked on and people can really get into, it makes me feel a heavier responsibility to everybody to really just keep spreading something positive that we can get behind.”

Continuing the tradition of bands like the Grateful Dead and groups like the Merry Pranksters, Hibbity Dibbity travels in a well sized bus with psychedelic graffiti on it, connecting with pockets of their organic network and spreading positivity wherever they might land. Their mission is simple; spread love and positivity, infect people’s souls with the vibrations of authentic music and passionate performance. In a time of building turmoil over false division and disconnect, Hibbity Dibbity seeks to orate the positive influence of genuine connection through their groovy dance tunes and inspiring self expression.

As they prepare the pre-production for their next full length album, we highly anticipate what this group has in store for us. Like many local artists, Hibbity Dibbity needs support to bring their dreams to further levels of fruition. We encourage you to support the band by purchasing their music, seeing them live, and contributing to their kick starter campaign. These cats are the real deal, give their tunes a listen and feel the vibes!
